Winder Taylor Fallows

Family Matters

It is an unfortunate fact of life that not all marriages are successful. If your relationship has broken down, it is important to find a solicitor who will provide practical, reliable advice that is sensitive to your situation.

At Winder Taylor Fallows, we appreciate that family troubles can result in a difficult time for our clients, and we are experienced in applying the principles of matrimonial law to the special circumstances of each individual case. We have found that emphasising negotiation and agreement rather than conflict and confrontation is generally more effective in achieving a swift resolution to proceedings that both parties can be satisfied with.

Our family law team is able to help you with all matters arising from relationship breakdown including divorce, seperation, cohabitation disputes or dissolution of civil partnerships. We understand and can advise you  on the arrangements for children  including residence, contact and child support. We have dealt with many cases wher our clients have needed to obtain injunction as protection from domestic violence and can deal with such cases urgently on your behalf.

Our team has substantial experience in advising clients on the financial consequences of relationship breakdown such as division of property, pensions and other assets. You may wish to consider the benefit of drawing up a pre nuptial agreement or a seperation agreement dealing with the division of family assets. If matters cannot be agreed we can represent you in court proceedings to ahieve a fair settlement.

We represent parents in proceedings when the local authority apply to the court for a care or supervision order for their children and help acheive the best outcome in often difficult and stressful circumstances.

Heather Worthington head of the family law department is recognised as an accredited specialist with Resolution for children cases and domestic violence  applications.
